I recently had the pleasure of teaching Breathwork and Qigong at the annual Thrive event, run by Shane Craddock, and hosted in the beautiful, tranquil setting of Killeavy Castle. Over the course of the session, I guided participants through practical, grounding techniques designed to regulate the nervous system, deepen self-awareness, and reconnect with the body through conscious breath and mindful movement. The science behind the breathing techniques was explained so that participants understand what is changing in their body when they breathe in a certain way as well as that a background and introduction into Qigong was also given.

The openness and engagement of the group made the experience especially rewarding, allowing for a shared sense of presence and calm to emerge. Set in such a peaceful backdrop of the Mourne mountains and Qigong practiced in the walled garden of Kileavy Castle, complemented the Thrive ethos perfectly, supporting both personal wellbeing and sustainable high performance.
