Importance of Oxygen
We have approximately 500 million Oxygen Receptors called Alveoli that's how important it is to inhale enough oxygen.
Oxygen is brought into the lungs via breathing, it is then captured by the alveoli and transferred into the blood where it is transported by red blood cells to the entire body to be used to produce energy called ATP. The oxygen is needed to burn the fuel [sugars and fatty acids] in our cells to produce this energy, this is called Aerobic Cellular Respiration and this type of respiration yields more ATP. When there is no oxygen present the cell switches to anaerobic cellular respiration and yields only two ATP molecules. Therefore if we can supply lots of oxygen to the cells we generate lots of energy.We breathe approx 23,000 times per day

We need to breathe properly, breathe clean air and ensure the oxygen is delivered from our lungs to all our cells.
